James M. Parker

James M. Parker Jim brought over 40 years experience giving advice and counsel to his clients in the areas of federal taxation, estate planning, employee benefits, and health care law. A large part of Jim's practice was devoted to the representation of family businesses, succession planning, professional practice groups. Because of Jim's expertise, he was a sought after speaker and made presentations at professional meetings for the Parker Center for Family Business at Anderson School of Management, the New Mexico Estate Planning Council, and the Santa Fe Estate Planning Council.

Jim Parker was widely considered "one of the deans of business law in New Mexico," recently reported Chambers USA, where he was been continuously selected since 2003. He has been recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (Charter Fellow), and by the American College of Tax Counsel. Jim was named Lawyer of the Year in Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law – Albuquerque in 2012 by Best Lawyers of America(R), where he was listed each year since 1993. In addition, he attained Martindale-Hubbell's AV(R) rating and was named among those listed in Southwest Super Lawyers(R).

In addition to his practice, Jim was active in community and professional non-profit organizations. He was co-founder and Chair of the Parker Center. He served as Vice President of the Small Business Council of America, Director of the Corrales Cultural Arts Council and provided pro-bono services for a number of non-profit organizations.

Linda H. Parker

Linda H. Parker Linda H. Parker, co-founder of Parker Center for Family Business, is President of a family owned business, Cafeteria Plan Company that provides administrative services for large and small employers alike, many of which are family owned companies. Her daughter-in-law, Krista Koss Parker, has run the company since 2012. In addition, she is a partner in TNT, Ltd. with her son, Tyson Parker. Linda and her family have successfully navigated the transition from one generation to the next, in part, due to the services offered by PCFB. In 2011 Retirement Strategies, LLC, another employee benefit firm was sold to a local third party administration company.

An avid supporter of not-for-profit organizations, Linda is currently on the board of directors of the Anderson School of Management Foundation and served as its board chair in 2013 - 2014. Additionally she sits on the board of directors for Corrales Cultural Arts Council, Small Business Council of America, Friends of the Corrales Library and the Advisory Committee for Oklahoma State University's Doel Reed Center for the Arts.

Foundation for the Parker Center was developed by James M. Parker along with Ann Patrick LeMay, Ph.D. and John E. Schoen.

Ann Patrick LeMay, Ph.D.

Ann Patrick LeMay, Ph.D. An Albuquerque native, Ann is a Clinical Psychologist with experience counseling family members in working with the ones you love from a psychological perspective. Dr. LeMay's family was the past owners of an Albuquerque family-owned business, The Sanitary Laundry & Dry Cleaners & Rutledge Linen Supply at 600 Broadway NE. She will provide guidance regarding issues of family dynamics, including conflict resolution, and transfer of authority.


John E. Schoen

John E. Schoen Mr. Schoen is President of PCFB. John grew up in an Albuquerque family business which sold mining and construction equipment. Currently, John teaches in a family business program at Baylor College as well as at Southern Methodist University. He is also a Fellow in the Family Firm Institute.
